Milan M. Doan

Trial Attorney

Milan began her legal career representing plaintiffs at a boutique Chicago law firm specializing in medical malpractice and social services negligence, where she gained experience handling complex cases involving serious injuries. She later joined a large plaintiffs’ firm in Chicago, where she litigated a broad range of personal injury cases arising from motor vehicle, bus, and trucking accidents, as well as premises liability matters. Her experience has given her a deep appreciation for the trust clients place in her during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. She approaches every case with meticulous preparation, compassion, and a commitment to holding responsible parties accountable.

Milan earned her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. During law school, she clerked for two prominent personal injury law firms in Chicago and twice served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Eve M. Reilly in the Chancery Division of the Cook County Circuit Court. Her oral advocacy and writing skills were recognized at the 2023 Thomas Tang Regional Moot Court Competition, where she was named Best Oralist and her team received the Best Brief award. Milan also served on the Executive Board of Chicago-Kent’s Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA). As an alum, she continues to support the organization by assisting with coaching APALSA’s moot court team.

Originally from Kentucky, Milan graduated cum laude from the University of Louisville, earning bachelor’s degrees in English and Public Health, as well as a minor in Linguistics.

Milan is involved in several legal organizations, including the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, and Asian American Bar Association of Chicago.

In her free time, Milan enjoys attending live music events, recreating her favorite restaurant dishes, and playing fetch with her dog, Hazel.
